Client: Redlands Sporting Complex – SHEEHY & PARTNERS
Project: Redlands Sporting Complex
Duration: March 2014 – May 2014
Project Value: $428,504
Project Details: Redlands Sporting Club has undertaken this project to expand its car parking facilities to accommodate the requirements of its patrons. Works were programmed to take 11 weeks and included all bulk earthworks, subsoil drainage, fibre reinforced large concrete blocks of 165mm thickness, kerbing, line marking and fencing. Main Constructions undertook these works in a manner that caused minimal inconvenience to patrons and staff at Redlands Sporting Club whilst also operating in a safe environment. During construction Main had to face the problems due to the very poor ground conditions with high movements but were faced and handled successfully and the project was accomplished within the stipulated time frame.
Well the New Year is in full swing and with it has come plenty of rain. The rain is fantastic for all the new turf that has been laid at Nudgee College and Les Hughes Sports Complex. These projects are both coming into the final stages of construction whilst construction at Griffin Sports Facility is ramping up despite the recent weather. We have also been awarded two new projects in the new year. One is Sports field lighting upgrades at 3 locations within the Moreton Bay Regional Council area and the second is goal upgrades to various sites for Redland City Council whom we are excited to be working with again.
