Our contract on this project was to undertake the relocation, reconstruction of existing car parks, demolition of gardens, existing car parks and building structures, bulk earthworks in ROCK (Brisbane Tuff) with over 5000m3 being excavated and removed from site, all service relocations including sewer, storm water, fire, communications and the hospitals main power feed from under the new building foot print. We also undertook all the detailed excavation for the building footings, retaining walls ETC. This site was split over 5 separable portions and included construction of the new hospital access and footpath works on Mains Road (at the foot of the Storey Bridge).
Well the New Year is in full swing and with it has come plenty of rain. The rain is fantastic for all the new turf that has been laid at Nudgee College and Les Hughes Sports Complex. These projects are both coming into the final stages of construction whilst construction at Griffin Sports Facility is ramping up despite the recent weather. We have also been awarded two new projects in the new year. One is Sports field lighting upgrades at 3 locations within the Moreton Bay Regional Council area and the second is goal upgrades to various sites for Redland City Council whom we are excited to be working with again.
