Project Details: Bundaberg Netball courts were damaged in the severe flooding experienced in Bundaberg in recent years and as a result the decision was made to relocate the courts to a new location. Main Constructions was fortunate to be awarded this contract which has seen us travel outside of the South East corner from which our jobs are usually based. Our experience with both building and civil works and in particular sports facilities gave us an edge over our competitors along with our competitive pricing. Works here will include a new clubhouse incorporating change rooms, canteen facility, first aid/store room, office and amenities along with the construction of 12 netball courts and a 30 plus space car park. Construction of the netball courts includes all storm water drainage, installation of court lighting and laying of asphalt to be topped with specialised Laykold court surfacing, an acrylic, non-slip hard court surface.
In the last few weeks Main Constructions has been awarded projects by Redland City Council and Gold Coast City Council. Works for Redland City Council involve the replacement of light poles at three public tennis centres and we will also be replacing two basketball towers and a multipurpose goal. Gold Coast City Council have engaged us to undertake design and construction of lighting upgrades at Pizzey Park Rugby. Our Project at Griffin Sports Facility is well and truly underway with the site really starting to take shape. The building has the roof installed and work has commenced on the playing fields. We are looking forward to seeing the end result.
