This project is Stage 1 of proposed works in relation to the new AFL field at Southpine Sports Complex. Main Constructions was thrilled to be awarded this major project by Moreton Bay Council after being selected as the successful tenderer. The aim of stage one works is to construct a fully functioning AFL field, roads and parking and associated infrastructure allowing for the future construction of a joint use clubhouse, sewer pump station and sewer rising main in stage two. The works include the construction of a senior AFL field, building pad, roads, car parking, stormwater drainage, bio retention ponds, electrical, lighting, PA system, gravity sewer, water, recycled water, irrigation, landscaping and associated works. The existing Southpine Sports Complex facilities will remain in operation throughout the construction period and as such provisions will be made to allow for safe access to existing roads, car parking buildings and sports fields.
In the last few weeks Main Constructions has been awarded projects by Redland City Council and Gold Coast City Council. Works for Redland City Council involve the replacement of light poles at three public tennis centres and we will also be replacing two basketball towers and a multipurpose goal. Gold Coast City Council have engaged us to undertake design and construction of lighting upgrades at Pizzey Park Rugby. Our Project at Griffin Sports Facility is well and truly underway with the site really starting to take shape. The building has the roof installed and work has commenced on the playing fields. We are looking forward to seeing the end result.
